• Be the Lead Institute for all financial matters, e.g. receiving grants from DIT, disbursing funds to participating institutions in accordance with the decisions of the Steering Committee. It shall also maintain project accounts, handle auditing and submit accounts to DIT, etc. as per the guidelines provided by the Steering Committee.
• Organize seminars, workshops, conferences, brainstorming sessions, competitions, etc., on their own as well as with the support of other institutions, for northern India.
• Design a model for active collaboration and synergy amongst academia, industry, government and society. The model shall showcase a methodology of macro level knowledge management on the ground and be based on the needs of various stakeholders.
• Conduct and get conducted such studies as may be decided by the Steering Committee.
• Any other tasks as may be decided by the Steering Committee.

IIT-M shall:

• Organize seminars, workshops, conferences, brainstorming sessions, competitions, etc., on their own as well as with the support of other institutions, for southern India.
• Provide a framework and broad outlines of syllabi of courses that may be recommended for being taken up by the educational, training and examining institutes.
• Conduct and get conducted such studies as may be decided by the Steering Committee.
• Any other tasks as may be decided by the Steering Committee.

NPC shall:

• Organize the two international conferences.
• Conduct and get conducted such studies as may be decided by the Steering
  Committee.
• Any other tasks as may be decided by the Steering Committee.

IMI shall:

• Provide project coordination by organizing meetings of the Steering Committee, communicating decisions of the DIT, compiling progress reports, liaising with the DIT, etc.
• Conduct initial symposium, seminars, final workshop, and other events as decided by the Steering Committee.
• Organise Workshops/MDPS/ Short-Courses in the Knowledge-, Technology-, R&D- and Innovation Management.
• Conduct and get conducted such studies and carry out other tasks as may be decided by the Steering Committee
• Submit periodic progress reports and final report to the DIT.
